Veni-Vidi- Vici Once Again: Thai-Indian Fun Fair
Bangkok 16th February 2019: Global Indian International School, Thailand took part in the 5th Indo-Thai Fun Fair commemorated at Srinakharinwirot University, Bangkok which was being organized by Indian Embassy and Indian Social club of Thailand. The fair transformed the football field of Srinakharinwirot University into integration of socio-cultural platform.
The school participated in Art and Quiz competitions and performed an awesome dance. ‘Save Environment’ has been the theme for Art Competition. Dance depicted the fusion of Indian, Thai and Chinese culture and displayed the message of unity in diversity. Jeevika Saini, Phantira Soimaneewan, and Akshayaa Kalyanaraman won prizes in the Art contest and awarded with trophies.
Twenty teams from different universities and international schools competed in the Quiz competition and from GIIS Siddhant Kullar, Bhoomika Dinesh Shetty and Heemraj Chakraborty have taken up the challenge. They qualified first in the contest and won the trophy and 5000 baht worth cash prize for each contender. It is the second consecutive year that the GIIS passing with flying colours for the quiz.
At the end of the function and the prizes were distributed by the honorable Former Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, General Tansak Patimapragon. The function was delightful for all including teachers and parents who cheered up the children and enjoyed the fun fair.
