On 15 November 2024, Global Indian International School lit up with the vibrant celebration of Loy Krathong, honouring Thai culture with elegance and joy. Students crafted beautiful Krathongs adorned with flowers and candles, symbolising prayers and the release of negativity, which were floated to the water amidst heartfelt wishes.
The Nong Nopammas Competition stole the spotlight. Participants in stunning traditional attire captured the audience’s hearts, and winners were chosen through enthusiastic voting. The event was enriched by cultural performances, featuring graceful Thai dances and melodies that blended tradition with creativity.
GIIS successfully created a magical day, fostering cultural appreciation and unity. The glowing Krathongs and spirited celebrations left everyone with cherished memories of Thai heritage brought to life.
