On 5th September, GIIS celebrated Teacher’s Day with heartfelt gratitude and joy, honouring the guiding lights who inspire students every day. The celebration began with a traditional Wai Khru Ceremony, a gesture of deep respect and appreciation towards teachers, followed by a series of fun-filled activities that brought smiles and laughter to our mentors.
To make the day even more special, a spread of delicacies was thoughtfully arranged for teachers during the break, while SEWA students stepped in to care for the younger children, ensuring that the teachers could enjoy their time to the fullest.
It was a beautiful tribute that echoed Dr Radhakrishnan’s words: “Teachers should be the best minds in the country.” The event truly reflected the love, respect, and admiration that GIIS holds for its educators.
