Introduction

Global Indian International School, Thailand, is committed to providing holistic education through a balanced and dynamic curriculum. The school adopts the ‘Nine Gems’ framework, a structured model designed for Global Indian International Schools across diverse international contexts. Curriculum Framework

GIIS, Thailand follows the CBSE curriculum, refers to the educational framework designed and prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education, which is a national-level board of education in India. It emphasis on conceptual understanding over rote learning, and competency-based education. The curriculum is structured across the following stages:
i. Foundational Stage [Pre-Primary to Grade2]
Focuses on play-based and activity-oriented learning, with emphasis on the
development of language and numeracy skills.
ii. Preparatory Stage [Grades 3to 5]
Introduces formal subjects while strengthening reading, writing, and basic analytical skills.
iii. Middle Stage [Grades 6 to 8]
Promotes subject-specific learning with conceptual understanding, encouraging
critical thinking and problem-solving. It also integrates co-scholastic areas such as art, sports, and vocational exposure.
iv. Secondary Stage [Grades 9 to 10]
Emphasizes in-depth subject knowledge and academic rigor, preparing students for board examinations.
